Original language description
The new species Pytho sichuanicus sp. n. of the Pytho depressus species-group is described from the Sichuan Province, China. Its characters are illustrated. Pytho depressus (Linnaeus, 1767) is recorded for the first time from China (Xinjiang Province). An updated identification key to the species of the genusPytho is presented.
