Workshop was organized to strengthen the cooperation between Czech and Saxonian institutions working in the field of forestry, forest research and forest ecology. 19 lectures were given focusing on forest ecology, forest genetics and reproductive material, forest protection, game management and silviculture. The needs of forestry sector in context of climate change were discussed and new knowledge, developments and management techniques achieved in research projects of individual partners were presented. Last day of the meeting an excursion was organized to the forest research plots and facilities in the Adler Mts. (Orlické hory) region.
