Original language description
Results of long term study of nutrients changes and phytoplankton characteristics in length profile of the Elbe and in the Vltava-Zelčín are summarized. On the case of profiles choosen (the Elbe: Obříství, Děčín, the Vltava-Zelčín) a pattern of seasonaldevelopment of phytoplankton is demostrated. Base on the data obtained, relationship between concentrations of main nutrients (P, N, Si) and phytoplankton biomass as well as between phytoplankton biomass and dischage changes were analysed.
