Estimating of the life cycle is one of the most important tools of environmental policy. This voluntary procedure allows us to analyze the demand for energy and raw materials and the impacts on human life and on the life of eco-system. The main purpose of the life cycle research is the application of its methodology to the standard car tyre and analyze all the potential effects of the standard tyre on the environment during the whole life cycle. A target product is a standard car tyre, with the dimensions of 175/70 R13, lifetime 40 000 km and weighing 6 kg.

Czech description
Posuzování životního cyklu výrobku nebo činností je jedním z důležitých informačních nástrojů environmentální politiky. Jde o dobrovolný nástroj, který umožňuje zhodnotit jednak spotřeby energií a materiálů, jednak dopady na lidské zdraví a zdraví ekosystému v reprezentativních fázích existence výrobku. Hlavním cílem výzkumu v oblasti LCA je aplikace metody LCA na konkrétní výrobek ? standardní osobní pneumatiku o rozměrech 175/70 R13 a hmotnosti 6 kg pro osobní automobily.
