Impact of pollution and seasonal changes on microbial community structure in surface water
Original language description
In this study were described the differences in the microbial community structure in variously polluted surface waters (rivers, small mountain streams and waste water) and impact of the seasonal differences. For the characterization of the pollution level were used selected basic chemical and bacteriological parameters. Total counts of microorganisms were obtained by fluorescence microscopy method using staining with DAPI. The microbial community structure was determined by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) method with nucleic acid probes specific for Bacteria, Archaea, Alphaproteobacteria, Betaproteobacteria, Gammaproteobacteria and Cytophaga-Flavobacterium.
