Reduction of negative impacts of road-traffic infrastructure on the surface water quality
Original language description
This study is focused on evaluation of efficiency of technologies for runoff waste water treatment from road infrastructure and carparks ? typified rainwater settling tanks (DUN) and constructed wetlands (CWs) ? and its impact on decreasing of negative effect of these buildings on the quality of surface and subsurface water. A monitoring of existing settling tanks was done within the project supported by Technology Agency of Czech Republic. A database of surface runoff pollution (mainly petroleum substances and toxic metals) was created during this monitoring. Other part of the project was focused on development of new technologies for surface runoff treatment and innovative ways for testing and validation of the technologies ? mathematical modelling including semi-operated model validation of the model using hydraulic load tests. The research was partially focused on development of three-stage technology for surface runoff treatment consisting of mechanical pretreatment tank, combined
