Original language description
Risk analysis represents an effective and comprehensive tool in the issue of water resource protection. Of course, it is not only a risk analysis of the water supply system, but great emphasis is now also placed on the risk analysis of the catchment areas where the surroundings of the water source are evaluated. The main goal of the risk analysis of the catchment areas is to determine and introduce preventive measures in parts of the watershed related to drinking water collection points, subsequently ensuring proper monitoring of relevant indicators in raw water, as well as assessing the need to establish or adapt protective zones of water resources.
