European guidelines are lacking recommendation of prevention of evnous thromboembolism who are included in rhe Czech guideliens.The further difference between these two guidelines is the stratification of acute pulmonary embolism. Czech guidelines editedby Czech Cardiological Society divide acute pulmonary embolism into a massive, submassive and small. The European correlates are acute pulinonary embolism with high risk, intermediate risk and with a small risk. Imprortnt differences exist in the indications to thrombolytic treatment. Czech guidelines include also patients with right atrial/ventricular thrombi, foramen ovale apertum with a thrombi, deterioration during the heparin treatment and successive pulmonary embolism.
