SpaceLab project took place at DAMU (Prague Academy of Performing Arts) and in the public spaces in the center of the city. It was prepared in unique way of close collaboration of the Prague Quadrennial and students from YORK University in Toronto (YORKU), Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago (DePaul), The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London (RCSSD) and Theatre Faculty of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). It consisted of 61 workshops by reknowned artists as Joanna Rajkowska, Dominic Huber, Kirsten Dehlholm, Aedín Cosgrove or Philippe Quesne that were attended by 1000 students as well as 30 outdoor performances on Jungmann Square and 34 indoor performances in DISK theatre at DAMU. SpaceLab provided possibility for students not only to show their work but to meet and learn tools, skills and ways of thinking from professionals not usually thought at theatre schools.
