    The biomarker composition in leaf compressions of Sphenolepis pecinovensis and isolated resin grains from the Bohemian Cenomanian mudstones near Pecínov (Czech Republic) has been analysed to investigate the chemotaxonomy of the fossil conifer. More speciphic sesqui- and diterpenoids can be assigned to Cupressaceae, Taxodiaceae and also partly to Podocarpaceae.
