Comments on the genus Philanthaxia with descriptions of new species (Coleoptera: Buprestidae)

Philanthaxia acuticollis sp.n.(Vietnam), P. jendeki sp.n. (Laos), P. kubani sp.n. (Laos), P. rolciki sp.n. (India), P. similis sp.n. (Laos) and P. transwallacea sp.n. (Seram) are described and illustrated. A new key of all 52 known species is given and the distribution of the genus is shortly discussed. Engycera rufimarginata Saunders 1866 is designated as a type-species of the genus Engycera Saunders, 1866 (a synonym of Philanthaxia Deyrolle, 1864) and a check-list of all the species is provided
