Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) bicolorata sp.n., A.(H.) cratomerella sp.n., A.(H.) turnai sp.n., A.(H.) kucerai sp.n., A.(H.) psittacina nigrifrons ssp.n., all from China, and A.(H.) huashanica sculpticollis ssp.n. from China, Taiwan and Vietnam are described aA.(H.) psittacina Heyden, 1887 is raised from subspecific to specific status again and a new synonymy A.(H.) proteus Saunders, 1873 = A.(H.) angulaticollis Kurosawa, 1956, syn.n. is proposed. Next two species are also included into A. proteus species-grA.(H.) guizhouensis Bílý, 1996 and A.(H.) formosensis Bílý, 1980. All species of A. proteus species-group are keyed and a list of all the species with their distributions is presented
