Original language description
The present state of knowledge of the saprotrophic and necrotrophic herbicolous ascomycetes and mitosporic fungi of the National Park and Landscape Protected Area Šumava (Czech part of the mountain range) is given. A total of 81 species is known at present. 50 of these species are reported in literature, 28 species are new finds for the Šumava Mountains based on recent collections between 1998 and 2002. Three of the species recently collected on plants were previously reported from soil isolates only.
