    From Eisenrichterstein 46 species of Upper Eocene Bryozoa have been studied thanks to a new method of dissolving fossiliferous marl in concentrated acetic acid. Two species are new: Tubucella elongecia sp.nov. and Batopora alpina sp.nov. and all speciesare described and documented by SEM photos. The bryozoan fauna originally inhabited a shallow environment within a coral reef where they cemented and consolidated the frame of the reef.

    46 druhů svrchně eocénních mechovek z lokality Eisenrichterstein bylo studováno díky nové metodě rozpouštění fosiliferních slínů v koncentrované kyselině octové. Dva druhy jsou nové Tubucella elongecia sp.nov. and Batopora alpina sp.nov., všechny druhy byly popsány a dokumentovány v SEM. Mechovky žily v mělkém moři společně s korály, čímž zpevňovaly a konsolidovaly korálový útes.
