This article deals with the testimonial value of textile fragments found during archaeological research. It focuses on a group of skeleton graves from the Migration Period on the site in Záluží near Čelákovice (Central Bohemia Region). On the example ofreview of the research from the first half of 20th century it also shows the problems archaeologists are facing when interpreting textile fragments and using insufficient research documentation.
