New and interesting records of water beetles from the Czech Republic (Coleoptera: Sphaeriusidae, Dytiscidae, Helophoridae, Hydrophilidae, Georissidae, Hydraenidae, Scirtidae, Elmidae, Dryopidae, Limnichidae, Heteroceridae)

Original language description

We report findings of 43 species of rare or previously unknown species of water beetles from the Czech Republic. One species of the Hydrophilidae, Dactylosternum abdominale (Fabricius, 1792), is new to the Czech Republic. We confirm the presence of the following three species in the Czech Republic: Enochrus hamifer Ganglbauer, 1901 (Hydrophilidae, recent record from Moravia), Hydraena reyi Kuwert, 1888 (Hydraenidae, recent record from both Bohemia and Moravia) and Heterocerus parallelus Gebler, 1830 (Heteroceridae, old record from Bohemia). Dryops anglicanus Edwards, 1909 (Dryopidae) is recorded as new to Moravia, based on a recent record. We also confirm recent occurrence of Dytiscus semisulcatus O. F. Müller, 1776, Nebrioporus assimilis (Paykull, 1798) and Oreodytes septentrionalis (Gyllenhal, 1827) (all Dytiscidae) in Bohemia and of Colymbetes striatus Linné, 1758, Hydroporus marginatus (Duftschmid, 1805) (both Dytiscidae), Hydraena minutissima Stephens, 1829 (Hydraenidae) and Pomat
