Original language description
African torrent frogs have a disjunct distribution with species endemic to West (Odontobatrachus), Central (Petropedetes) and East Africa (Arthroleptides). A molecular phylogeny provided insights into their evolutionary and biogeographical histories andrevealed several candidate undescribed species.
