Two new records of the family Corixidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) from the Oriental Region are presented: Cymatia apparens (Distant, 1911) (Cymatiainae) from Myanmar, and Sigara josifovi Chen et Nieser, 2008 (Corixinae) from Laos. Photographs of both species are provided for the first time, and additional information on the habitat of S. josifovi.
