A new barnacle, Myolepas reussi (Cirripedia, Scalpelliformes), from a near-shore, shallow-water facies in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Czech Republic
Original language description
Cirripede remains from upper Cenomanian to lower Turonian strata at Kank-Na Vrsich (Kolin area, Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Czech Republic) are described; a new scalpelliform species, Myolepas reussi, is proposed. A palaeoecological analysis of the Na Vrsich fauna shows that intertidalsubtidal conditions prevailed at the site during the early Late Cretaceous.
