A new species of the genus Drupeus (Coleoptera: Ptilodactylidae: Cladotominae) from China

  • Original language description

A new species of the genus Drupeus Lewis, 1895, D. cheni sp. nov., from Guangdong province, China is described and illustrated. The new species can be distinguished from other species of the genus with combination of orange pronotum and blackish elytra, but predominantly based on shape of male and female genitalia. This is the fifth species of the genus and first one from continental China, although occurrence of more species in China is expected, which we document with record of a single female from another locality in Guangdong, belonging to presumably undescribed species.
