What skeletal remains reveal about ancient Egypt's inhabitants

  • Original language description

Interpretation of documented archaeological situations in the area of Abusir South in the time of the Old Kingdom (27th-21st century BC) allows to identified persons "named and nameless", i.e. with higher and lower social status, and it can be assumed that differences may manifest themselves in anthropological material as well. This paper aims to verify the above working hypothesis at a selected set of main and secondary tombs from Abusir South.
