Original language description
The conserved name Myrtophyllum Heer is proposed based on knowledge that Myrtophyllum Heer is frequently used taxon of Cretaceous fossil angiosperm foliage. On the other hand Myrtophyllum Turczaninov is a name used only in synonymy of the genus Azara from the extant family Flacourtiaceae. Therefore the name Myrtophyllum Turczaninov is proposed to be rejected.
