The four ore belts cover the area of 24 square kilometres and comprise 13 km of abandoned dumps and diggings that reached the depth of 20-300 metres and document the scale of medieval exploitation of gold ore in the Nový Knín region. A total local production is estimated to 4,000 kilograms of gold.
