Original language description
A majority of the units of the Austro-Hungarian Air Force served on the Italian Front in 1918. Combat operations ceased on the Romanian Front in December 1917 and on the Russian Front after March 1918. The only other front where the Austro-Hungarian Air Force and the Austro-Hungarian Naval Air Corps remained active became the Albanian Front. The Front had no such signification as the Italian Front. Fronts, such as this one, were referred to as “die übrige Fronte” in the official Austro-Hungarian reports, which means more or less “the other fronts” or “the rest of the fronts”. In the article the author presents unknown aspects from the history of aviation technology of the Great War in the Balkans. The study is based on previously unknown sources presenting previously unknown issues.
