Original language description
The text resumes the curatorial concept of the Czech participation on the XXIIth Triennial in Milan "Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival" which reacted on the Planet´s exposure implicated by human activity. Two teams were invited to create projects dealing with relationship of man, his environment and new technologies: multimedia artist Krištof Kintera and new technologies theoretician Denisa Kera with the team of activist Petr Šourek. Both projects deal with a topic of mineral resources colonization and absurd stereotypes of human attitude in consumerism era. Both project are based on the sarcastic humor. Krištof Kintera and his team created the monumental object from used batteries called Out of Power Tower dealing with the problem of scarcity and endless growth of energy production and consumption. Denisa Kera and Petr Šourek´s team realised polyecran projection under the title Lithopy which shows the “smart village” and its alternative inhabitants, controlled by satellites. Also this project deals with resources colonialization, esp. lithium, strategic material of the future. It reacts also ciritically on the boom of cryptocurrencies and demonstrates the practical function of the blockchain as a future instrument of communication.
