A retrospective analysis of allogeneic stem cell transplantation in 50 patients with MDS revealed median disease free survival (DFS) of 31,5 months in patients with advanced disease pretreated by combination chemotherapy prior SCT compared to 6,8 monthsin those transplanted immediately with intensified conditioning without previous combination chemotherapy. Seven out of 8 patients surviving more than 3 years after SCT without signs of the disease achieved low or intermediate-1 IPSS score after chemotherapy prior SCT.

Dosažení nízkého či intermediárního-1 skóre po kombinované chemoterapii před transplantací krvetvorných buněk (SCT) může být spojeno s prolongovaným přežitím bez známek choroby (DFS) u nemocných s pokročilým myelodysplastickým syndromem.

Czech description

V retrospektivní analýze alogenních transplantací u 50 nemocných s MDS byla průměrná doba přežití bez známek choroby po transplantaci 31,5 měsíce u nemocných s pokročilými stádii choroby, jež byli předléčeni chemoterapií před SCT v.s. 6,8 měsíce u nemocných, jež byli transplantováni po intenzivním přípravném režimu bez předchozí chemoterapie. 7 z 8 nemocných, kteří žijí více než 3 roky bez známek choroby bylo transplantováno v době, kdy po chemoterapii dosáhli nízkého či intermediárního-1 skóre dle IPS.
