Area, cortical height and volume were evaluated via a new volumetric method in the right and left planum temporale of patients with Alzheimer disease. The results indicated a moderate increase in the degree of left/right laterality for area, the marked decrease in the left hemisphere for the cortical height and the mild increase in the degree of laterality for volume when compared to controls.

Czech description
V pravé a levé hemisféře pacientů s Alzheimerovou nemocí byla testována novou volumetrickou metodou plocha, výška kůry a objem oblasti planum temporale. Výsledky signalizovaly mírné zvýšení ve stupni levo/pravé laterality pro plochu, výrazný pokles výškykůry v levé hemisféře a mírné zvýšení ve stupni laterality pro objem oproti kontrolám.
