BRAD: Software for BRain Activity Detection from hemodynamic response
Original language description
Estimation of the neuronal activity using noninvasive neuroimaging techniques is one of the most challenging objectives in a neuroscientific field. In the last three decades, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has become a well-established modality which uses the blood oxygenation level dependent (BOLD) signal as a proxy measure of the actual neuronal activity. The BOLD signal can be modeled as a linear convolution of the hemodynamic response function (HRF) with an input signal corresponding to the neuronal activity. However, estimation of such input signal is a complicated problem.
