Acute outcomes of the STOP-VT study: Remote magnetic navigation with irrigated catheter to ablate ischemic VT

  • Original language description

Catheter ablation with standard irrigated catheters has been shown to reduce ventricular tachycardia (VT) episodes in studies. This can be a difficult procedure due to the complexity of the arrhythmia substrate. It is believed that remote magnetic navigation (RMN) provides additional benefit during mapping since the soft catheters do not promote additional PVCs or disrupt VT circuits during mapping. Approaches that define critical areas of the scar and potential VT sources during sinus rhythm have shownto be effective in treating this arrhythmia
