In present the most precise absolute gravimeters are the FG5 gravimeters. The high accuracy of gravity data collected by this instrument (1 microgal) allows for a detection of long periodic and secular geodynamic phenomena. The absolute gravimeter FG5 No. 215 has been used for repeated gravity measurements at the Geodetic Observatory Pecný. An annual variation of gravity was detected analyzing a three-year series of gravity measurements. The amplitude of this annual gravity variation is 2.7 microgal andthe maximum gravity value appears at the beginning of March.

V současnosti jsou gravimetry FG5 nejpřesnějšími absolutními gravimetry. Vyská přesnost měření těmito přístroji (1 microgal) umožňuje detekovat dlouhoperiodické a sekulární geodynamické jevy. Absolutní gravimetr FG5 č. 215 byl použit pro opakovaná tíhováměření na Geodetické observatoři Pecný. Z tříleté série tíhových měření byla detekována roční variace tíhového zrychlení. Amplituda této variace je 2.7 microgal s maximem nastávajícím počátkem března.
