Original language description
The SGM method for correlation of images allows using the images from non-metric cameras to carry out work in the field of geodetic and surface mining surveying and cadastral mapping. Historical and temporal contexts of the creation, development and application of the SGM algorithm are presented in the article. Besides, the article compares the results obtained from the application of new surveying techniques with those from traditional surveys. Finally, alternative approaches to the utilization of commercial software packages are evaluated and some principles of utilizing such procedures in surface mining surveying and cadastral mapping are recommended. The results from a calibration base and practical application of new technologies are presented anddiscussed.
