Long-term acidification and nutrient degradation of forest soils ? limiting factors of forestry today
Original language description
The publication provides a summary of research on the current state of acidification and eutrophication of forests soils as well as published experience and measures implemented to date in order to mitigate forest soil damage. Furthermore, the publication presents currently favoured hypotheses of forest decline due to soil damage as well as instruments for the quantification of critical processes of soil acidification.Based on this foundation, a proposal for a system of measures leading to he reductionof acidifictaion effects and supporting the regeneration of forest soils is presented. The system includes a proposal for creating a new zonation that reflects current scientific knowledge and establishes a new framework for forest
