The meeting was designed to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the first scientific description of granulite. The main themes were: * Mechanism and duration of the Variscan granulite-facies metamorphism in the Bohemian Massif; *PTt paths from (U)HP rocks and their bearing on geotectonic models of Central European Variscides; * Genesis of felsic Moldanubian granulites, character of protolith(s) and changes during their metamorphism; * Partial melting in granulite facies and the genetic link between Variscan granulites and granites; * Behaviour of various geochronometers, protolith ages and cooling ages related to the granulite-facies metamorphism; * Whole-rock geochemistry and isotopic composition of Moldanubian granulites, changes related to the Variscan metamorphism; * Open session

Workshop byl uspořádán u příležitosti 250-tého výročí prvního vědeckého popisu granulitu. Hlavní témata byla: * Mechanismus a trvání variské granulitové metamorfózy v Českém masívu; *PTt dráhy z (U)HP hornin a jejich význam pro geotektonické modely v středoevropských Variscidách; * Geneze moldanubických granulitů, povaha jejich protolitu(ů) a změny během metamorfózy; * Parciální tavení v granulitové facii a genetický vztah mezi variskými granulity a granity; * Chování různých geochronometrů, protolitovástáří a stáří chladnutípo granulitové metamorfóze; * Horninová geochemie a izotopové složení moldanubických granulitů, jejich změny během variské metamorfózy * Open session
