Fluid and solid emissions from the Tsumeb smelter, Namibia resulted in the past in heavy contamination of soils and plants in the Tsumeb area. Contents of Pb, Zn, As and other metals around the smelter many times exceed limits of International Health Organization for plants and agricultural soils.

Plynné a pevné emise z huti v Tsumebu způsobily silnou kontaminaci pozemků a hospodářských plodin v okolí hutě. Obsahy Pb, Zn, As a dalších kovů v půdách a remědělských plodinách mnohonásobně přesahují limity Světové zdravotnické organizace.
