Petrology and age of metamorphosed rock in tectonic slices inside the Palaeozoic sediments of the eastern Mongolian Altay, SW Mongolia

  • Original language description

Three crystalline complexes were newly desribed in SW Mongolia. The Unegt Uul Crystalline Complex is a tectonic slice of leucogranites. Metamorphic rocks show prograde metamorphic event reaching the peak temperatures of 805 +/- 71 °C and pressures of 9.6+/- 1 kbar, the age of leucogranite formation corresponds to 518 +/- 5 Ma. Chandman Crystalline Complex is built by orthogneisses and migmatites with amphibolitic and skarn lenses shows HT metamorphic evolution with subsequent retrogression. While the rocks of Chandman Crystalline Complex remain undated, the age of Chandman Massif itself is Lower Carboniferous (345 +/- 2 Ma).The Khan Khayrkhan Crystalline Complex is composed of orthogneisses, amphibolites, paragneisses and mica schists. Metamorphic style corresponds to prograde event with peak at about 670 °C and 7?10 kbar, age points to the latest Devonian (363 +/- 3 Ma).

  • Czech description

V oblasti jz Mongolska byly nově popsány tři krystalinické jednotky, Krystlainikum Unegt Uul, tvořené leukogranity s vložkami metamorfního pláště, metamorfované za podmínek 805 +/- 71 °C a 9.6 +/- 1 kbar, stáří odpovídá 518 +/- 5 Ma. Krystalinikum Čandmaň tvořené ortorulami a migmatity s vložkami skarnů a amfibolitů, které prodělalo HT metamorfní událost a následnou retrogresi. Horniny krystalinika datovány nebyly, stáří masivu Čandmaň s krystalinikem úzce spjatého odpovídá 345 +/- 2 Ma. A krystalinikumChan Chajrchan tvořené rulami, amfibolity a svory, metamorfované za 670 °C a 7?10 kbar a datované na 363 +/- 3 Ma
