The digital elevation model of the crystalline basement below the Cenozoic sedimentary cover in the area of Cheb Basin and Sokolov Basin was created using the reevaluated borehole database of the Czech Geological Survey?Geofond and other sources. The morphology of the crystalline basement is the result of a multiphase tectonic development. The 3D model shows main fault systems, as well as individual depressional and uplift structures.
