Awareness-raising workshop on CO2 capture and storage was organised in coopeartion among the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Sofia, the National Institute of Marine Geology and Geoecology - GeoEcoMar, Bucharest, and the Czech Geological Survey within the CGS Europe project. Vit Hladik (CGS) was member of the Organising Committee, responsible, among others, for the technical programme of the workshop, especially for securing of foreign speakers from European countries. 58 participants took part inthe workshop, representing several ministries, academia, power plant sector, iron & steel and cement industries from Bulgaria and several other European countries. The full-day programme included 11 oral presentations, divided into 4 sessions. Each presentation was followed by a discussion where speakers answered questions from the audience. Moreover, 5 posters showing results of CCS-related research were displayed in the poster area.
