The Main Ethiopian Rift in Southern Ethiopia is a zone of intense volcanic and seismic activity. Steep fault scarps are prone to landslides and rock-fall and soils developed upon silicic pyroclastics are easily eroded. All hazardous geological phenomenaobserved on the area of map sheet NB 37-6 Dila were mapped and described in Explanatory notes.
