Geohazard map showing the distribution of natural hazards treatening local populations, agricultural s and infrastructure and identifies vulnerables areas to dangerous geological processes. The map provides a basic set of data to prevent natural hazards and sustainable spatial planning.The map was evaluated from the synthesis of geological,geomorphological and remotesensing data, and are also based on geological and geomorphological mapping in the field and the multi-disciplinary analysis of the achieved results. A range of factors such as geomorphological features (landform origin, slope deformations, impact of head-ward erosion) as well as the geological setting (lithology, degree and character of eathering,geotechnical and hydrogeological properties of rocks, data on historical earthquakes),and the age of volcanic rocks were taken into account and interpreted in order to identify and specify geological or natural hazards in general. The land-use and climate conditionswere also considered.
