Thallium contamination of desert soil in Namibia: Chemical, mineralogical and isotopic insights
Original language description
Desert soils from Rosh Pinah, Namibia, have been studied. Most Tl is strongly bound to sulfides and phyllosilicates. Isotopic variations are in accordance with atmospheric transport of Tl from tailings via dust particles. Only a small part of Tl could be potentially released to the environment.
