Graphite raw material in the Bohemian Massif - processing for future mining
Original language description
Critical raw materials in the Czech Republichave been studied under the frame of the projectCompetence Centre for Effective and Ecological Miningof Mineral Resources. The aim of this study was theimprovement of graphite processing of the materialsamples from the Český Krumlov-Městský vrch depositusing the delamination of graphite-mica composite fromthe concentrate after the first flotation process. In order todelaminate the graphite-mica composite of the fractiongrain size 100–150 micrometer, before the second flotationprocess, the destructive methods of ultrasound (US),frost cycles and repeated heating were applied. Theprocess of destroying was tested at various USfrequencies, at different intensities and times ofprocessing (2 to 30 minutes). The delamination based ontriple repeated frost cycles was performed at -18 ºC and+24ºC. Delamination based on repeated heating up to150ºC was conducted in two cycles. The most efficientimprovement of ore processing has been shown byapplying the method of delamination of graphite-
