Relationship between Fe-Cu and polyelement Co-Ni-Pb- Bi-Sb-As-S mineralization at the Tisová deposit (Bohemian Massif)

  • Original language description

We studied relationship between massive sulfide Fe-Cu and polyelement Co-Ni-Pb-Bi-Sb-As-S mineralization at the Tisová deposit (Bohemian Massif). Main base metal sulfides (BMS) are predominantly represented by chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and pyrite, accompanied by arsenopyrite, native Bi, breithauptite, cobaltite, Fe-oxides, galena, sphalerite and ullmanitewillyamite phase. We propose the following mineral succession: (1) pyrite I, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, pyrite II; (2) Co-Ni-Sb-As-S mineralization (3) galena and Bi minerals. The presence of Co-Ni-Pb-Bi-Sb-As-S phases associated with BMS at Tisová and dominant Pb- Cu-Fe-Sb-As mineralization at the nearby Skalka occurrence can indicate late hydrothermal processes likely associated with intrusion of Variscan granitoids. Subsequent laser ablation (LA-ICP-MS) study resulted in the determination of elevated amounts of several critical metals (Co, Ni, Ga, Ge, As, Sb and Bi) and the deposit can be considered prosperous resource of critical metals (CRMs).
