PGE mineralization in the Ransko gabbro-peridotite massif, Bohemian Massif (Czech Republic). In: Stanley, Ch.J. et al. eds, Mineral Deposits" Proceedings of the SGA-IAGOD Conference in London
Original language description
Anomalous concentrations of platinum-group elements (PGE) have been detected in samples of low-grade magmatic Ni-Cu ores hosted in mafic and ultramafic rocks from the Ransko massif, Czech Republic. Geochemical data indicate that host rocks originated byclosed-system fractional crystallization (with crystal accumulation) of a single parental magma that was derived by partial melting of a slightly depleted mantle source. Michenerite, froodite and speryllite were identified as the principal PGE carriers.
