This contribution deals with the problems of safety systems, especially in the field of risk analysis and safety management systems in connection with the handling of dangerous chemical substances and set national major accident prevention system of theCzech Republic. Consistent approach of state authorities, education and other tools steadily and significantly increase overall safety of risk installations within major accident prevention system and also provide a significant positive progress in the level of enterprise safety systems. Permanent increase national authorities claims to ensure safety and to protect people and property in the vicinity of sources of risk and major accidents prevention related to dangerous chemical substances offers some specific problems.
