Virtual reality education in high school health studies as a prerequisite for increasing the level of security in municipalities
Original language description
Virtual reality is a modern technology that creates an artificial 3D world in which the user can interactively move and communicate with the help of special devices, such as VR headsets. In the field of education, virtual reality is becoming more and more popular because it offers an interactive and realistic environment to explore and learn various fields and acquire practical skills. Modern methods of learning through virtual reality are designed to allow students to participate more actively and improve their learning experience. Several international studies point to the fact that virtual reality in education brings more positive than negative factors. In the conditions of the Faculty of Security Engineering of the University of Zilina, we have several educational scenarios from the medical environment. We let students from high medical schools try these scenarios and then we get them fill out a questionnaire where they could express their level of satisfaction with this form of education. In the article, the authors describe the results of a questionnaire survey on the use of virtual reality in teaching, which was carried out among students of hight medical schools in the territory of the Slovak Republic. Based on the answers, we verified the hypotheses that we established before distributing the questionnaires.
