Transfer of powdery mildew resistance from Triticum monococcum to T. aestivum cv. Vlasta.

Original language description

In the state variety trials cv. Vlasta proved the best resistance to powdery mildew of all tested cultivars. The genetic basis for resistance in cv. Vlasta have not been determined yet. Cv. Vlasta may also contain genes Pm2 and Pm6, Additional tests with other isolates of powdery mildew showed differences. Resistance of cv. Vlasta in the field trials was much higher than of some cultivars possessing Pm2, Pm6. A F4 progeny from the cross between the resistant line S13 and susceptible cultivar Pavone 76was used to identify markers linked to powdery mildew resistance gene.
