Leaf rust resistance of winter wheat cultivars registered in the Czech Republic.

Original language description

In winter wheat cultivars registered in the Czech Republic leaf rust resistance genes have been studied since the sixties. At present, the most common gene is Lr3, followed by Lr26, Lr10 and Lr1. Aldo genes Lr13 adn 14a were postulated by Dr. Park. Noneof the above mentioned genes is effective to all leaf rusr races determined in the Czech Republic. To the prevailing races only Lr1 is effective. Difference in leaf rust severity on registered cultivars in the field are rather due to partial than speci fic resistance.
