Codling moth management by means of pheromone stations with Cydia pomonella granulosis cirus.
Original language description
Field trials with CpGV-pheromone stations were started in 1995. Cahnges in codling moth abundance were monitored using pheromone sticky traps. cardboard strips and by examining the first damage. Transfer of the viral infection from CpGV-pheromone traps by attracted males to females and to caterpilalrs was documented. Both codling moth population density and fruit damage were decreased comparing to the control plots. Since 1997, field trials with direct spray of CpGV and with combinations of direct spr ay and pheromone stations were studied and the results are presented.
