Long-term study on the ccurrence of weeds resistant to herbicides in the Czech Republic.
Original language description
First attention of herbicide resistant populations was concentrated on resistance to triazines, later on other herbicides. Since 1993, investigation was carried out in the territora of the Czech Republic only by Reference laboratory for diagnosis of resistant weed populations. Investigation is focused on agricultural lands regularly treated with herbicides (orchards, vineyards), railway tracks and non-agricultural land. Occurrence of resistant populations is mapped, spectrum of resistance or cros-resistance determined together with modes of spread of resistant weed biotypes. For the determination of resistance the following methods are used: biological assay, methodns on agar media, fluorescence and Hill reaction activity.
