Determination of the microbial utilisation nad transformation of humic substances extracted from soils of long-term field experiments.
Original language description
Humic acid preparations extracted with alkali from unfertilised and fertilised (NPK + organic manure) plots of long-term field experiments were added as a supplemental source of nutrients or as the sole sources of carbon and nitrogen to semi-aerobic cutures of complex microbial communities indigenous to the same individual soils. The results indicate that an increase in soil organic matter which is frequently observed in long-term fertilised soils may be atributed to the enhanced resistance of humic acid to microbial degrdation.
